Why it fits

Give the session a visible destination

Multiple-choice answers keep the barrier to entry low, while an escalating ladder gives guests a reason to stay invested through the final round.

Five-step setup

Plan the game before you present it

  1. 01

Choose two or three themes the guests share.

  2. 02

    Write accessible opening questions.

  3. 03

Add personal prompts only when the answer is comfortable and known.

  4. 04

Decide whether guests play individually or in teams.

  5. 05

End with a challenging but fair final question.

Hosting tips

  • Keep explanations short at a social event.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Using embarrassing inside jokes
  • Making every question impossibly niche
  • Adding real-money stakes
